Trex is one of the largest consumers of recycled polyethylene and wood materials in North America. Our manufacturing sites consume 300,000 tons of each material every year. Most of the polyethylene Trex consumes is film grade, consisting of items such as plastic bags, stretch film and agricultural film to name a few.

Trex® offers a viable, sustained outlet for these reusable materials, while complying with all federal standards. In addition to the environmental benefits to recycling these materials, Trex also offers substantial financial incentives for recycling, including savings realized from recycling efforts instead of placing these materials in a landfill.
